The OnePlus 9 Pro went on sale yesterday, and today iFixit is taking you inside for a look. You get a close-up look at it from the inside, in a video teardown.
So watch the video, and you’ll see what OnePlus’s repairability score is. Spoiler alert: it isn’t great, but that’s par for the course with smartphones.
The OnePlus 9 Pro has 5G antennas on the inside, and thankfully, removal of the battery is done with large pull tabs.
The back is glued on, limiting access to the screen, and its relatively fragile construction makes it harder to repair. That side is super hard to unassemble, as is the display, with a lot of disassembling to repair.
That helped it get a repairability score of 4 out of 10, where 10 is the easiest to fix and 0 is the hardest to fix.
