Apple has launched an updated MagSafe Charger, just in time for the arrival of the iPhone 16. The compact puck remains compatible with Qi2 and Qi charging, but now supports up to 25W wireless charging.
According to Apple’s official website, the MagSafe Charger can reach up to 50% battery in around 30 minutes when paired with the 30W USB-C power adapter.

The good news is that the iPhone 16 will charge faster wirelessly than an iPhone 15 over the wire with a regular 20W adapter. However, the 25W rates are reserved for the latest iPhones – the new MagSafe Charger will provide only up to 15W for phones between iPhone 12 and iPhone 15 and up to 7.5W for phones between iPhone 8 and iPhone 11.

The MagSafe Charger is available for $39/£39/€49 for the 1-meter option or $49/£49/€59 for the 2-meter variant. The 30W USB-C Power Adapter is also sold separately for $39/£39/€45. Both accessories can be shipped immediately, so they can reach the new owner ahead of the iPhone 16 arrival in ten days.
