Is the Honor Magic V3 the foldable for you?

[ad_1]

The Honor Magic V3 is a durable and high-end foldable phone with a 6.43″ cover display, 7.92″ main display, and 5,150mAh battery. It features a 50MP main camera, 50MP periscope, and 40MP ultra-wide camera, with fast charging options. With a price tag of €2,000, it offers impressive hardware and performance, making it a competitive option in the foldable phone market.

The Honor Magic V3 is impressively tough. We’ve subjected it to extreme tests, including freezing it into a block of ice and smashing it on the ground. And we’re not the only ones who have tried to break it – numerous torture tests have failed to do so. Honor has clearly put a lot of effort into designing the phone’s hardware, and durability may not even be the best thing about this device.

When folded, the Magic V3 measures 156.6 x 74.0 x 9.2mm and weighs 226g. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6mm and 232g, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 159.9 x 76.7 x 8.3mm and 221g. If size is a concern, there are other options available.

What about price? The Magic V3 has an MSRP of €2,000, but it comes with proper flagship hardware, including a high-quality 6.43” cover display and a roomy 7.92” main display. The camera setup is also impressive, with a 50MP main sensor, 50MP 3.5x periscope, and 40MP ultra-wide sensor. The battery is no slouch either, with a 5,150mAh capacity and support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Galaxy Z Fold6, for example, has a 50MP main sensor, but only a 10MP 3x tele and 12MP ultra-wide camera. Its smaller 4,400mAh battery is also slower to charge (25W wired, 15W wireless).

In comparison, the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a 48MP main sensor, 10.8MP 5x periscope, and 10.5MP ultra-wide sensor. Its Tensor G4 chipset is no match for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the Magic and Galaxy phones, and its 4,650mAh battery is even slower to charge (21W wired, 7.5W wireless).

The vivo X Fold3 Pro, on the other hand, has a serious camera setup, with a 50MP main sensor, 64MP 3x periscope, and 50MP ultra-wide sensor. It also has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a large, fast-charging 5,700mAh battery.

So, what do you think of the Honor Magic V3? If you’re in the market for a horizontal foldable, is this on your short list? Vote below and share your thoughts in the comments!
