Realme has expanded its Realme 13 lineup with the launch of two new smartphones, the Realme 13 5G and the Realme 13+. We have the Realme 13+ with us, and in this article, we will unbox it and explore its features.
The Realme 13+ comes in a yellow-colored retail box that includes a protective case, a charging cable, a SIM ejector tool, and an 80W power adapter.
The phone packs a 6.67-inch FullHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also features a 1,200Hz “turbocharged touch sampling rate” for improved touch responsiveness. The screen has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and supports HDR, HDR10+, and HLG codecs. It also has a centered punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture and 82.3° FOV.
The Realme 13+’s screen also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, which we found to be fast and accurate in our testing.
The phone’s design is inspired by the victory interface of racing games and is a combination of “Speedy Curve Design” and “Speedy Lightning Texture.” The back of the phone features a circular camera island that houses three cameras – a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP mono sensor, and a third unknown unit.
The Realme 13+ also has flat frames like the 12+, but they are not shiny, which makes the phone look less premium. On the upside, they do not get smudged, so you won’t need to constantly wipe them clean.
The phone’s left-side frame features the volume rocker and power button, while the bottom frame has the USB-C port, SIM card slot, microphone, and speaker grille. The top frame has the 3.5mm headphone jack, joined by another speaker and microphone.
Powering the Realme 13+ is the Dimensity 7300 Energy SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and comes with the promise of two Android version upgrades and three years of Android security updates.
The phone also features an 80W fast charging system that can charge the 5,000mAh battery to 50% in just 19 minutes. Other highlights include stereo speakers, GT Mode for gamers, a 6050mm2 stainless steel vapor cooling system, and an IP65 rating.
The Realme 13+ is available in India through Realme’s Indian website, Flipkart, and mainline channels in three configurations – 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB – priced at INR22,999, INR24,999, and INR26,999, respectively.
We will be testing the Realme 13+ in the coming days, so stay tuned for our in-depth review.
