Google has announced the rollout of Gmail Q&A on Android, introducing a new way to search your inbox with Gemini. This feature allows you to ask Gemini questions about your inbox directly within the Gmail app on Android.
You can ask Gemini anything related to your emails, including finding specific details, showing unread emails, viewing emails from a specific sender, or summarizing emails about a specific topic. This feature was previously available on the web through the side panel, but is now available on Android devices.
To access Gemini, tap on the black Gemini star at the top right of the Gmail app or tap on a “summarize this email” chip. The rollout is expected to take 15 days to complete, after which the feature will be available to all users. Note that you need to have Google One AI Premium or subscribe to Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium to access this feature.
