Opera Software ASA and Motorola’s Personal Communications Sector signed a licensing agreement to deliver Opera’s Internet browser on multiple Motorola handsets. Motorola will also gain access to the Opera Platform, a solution for integrating local applications with online content.

Opera Software ASA, the industry leader in web browser technology, and Motorola’s Personal Communications Sector, a major player in the development of handheld devices, have entered into a licensing agreement to integrate Opera’s internet browser into multiple Motorola PCS handsets.
As part of the deal, Motorola will also gain a license for the Opera Platform, a comprehensive solution that seamlessly connects handheld devices’ local applications with an operator’s online content. According to Ruchi Mangalik, Director of Software Portfolio at Motorola PCS, “Opera is a fantastic option for web browsing solutions for mobile handsets”.
