Proton Saga Pakistan
Al-haj Proton says the Saga sedan is the cheapest sedan available in Pakistan, as it takes on the Toyota Yaris, Honda City, and Changan Alsvin.
The launch stream revealed these features for Proton Saga:
Design
Before we reveal the Proton Saga price in Pakistan. Let’s talk about its design first.proton saga 2020 price in pakistan.
Even though the design of the Proton Saga is by no means ugly, it has no particular appeal. The design of both the interior and the exterior looks at least ten years old, even when compared to the Honda City and the Suzuki Swift, which are actually a decade old.
Other than the front grille and finishing touches like decorative vents on the bumper, the alloy wheels, a modern front bumper with DRLs, and the decklid spoiler, the car’s pretty plain looking.
The interior is older, and even though Saga is known for having some quality control cruft, the competitors look more modern and attractive inside. Plus, the interior, although durable, is almost entirely made out of cheap aluminium and metal pieces that look cheap.
The car comes in five paint options, namely:
- Snow White
- Armour Silver
- Jet Grey
- Rosewood Maroon
- Ruby Red
Performance
The Saga comes with three model options: Standard Manual, Standard Auto, and Ace Auto. Each option comes with a single engine option — a 1299 cc, naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with 94 hp and 120Nm of torque.
The R3 variant adds additional styling cues, a slightly larger engine, and a 4-speed automatic gearbox option. The engine makes the same power but has more low-end torque than the 1299cc motor.
The suspension system in the car consists of MacPherson struts in the front and Torsion Bar Coil-Spring shocks in the rear, ensuring a comfortable ride. Disc brakes are provided in the front and conventional drum brakes in the back .
