Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced that cellular services (data and voice) will be suspended in Karachi and other parts of Sindh on August 26, 2024, as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order during the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A).
On the directions of the Ministry of Interior Government of Pakistan, voice and data services will be suspended in Karachi and interior Sindh, including Khairpur, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, and Shikarpur, with immediate effect. This decision has been taken to ensure the security and stability of the region during this period.
