WhatsApp is really interested in its user’s privacy and security and brings more security updates for users. Recently WhatsApp’s new update comes which gives you more control over group invites.

Now not everyone will add you to his group, and you will decide who can add you to WhatsApp Group and who cannot. Also, you will have full control over the group messages you receive. This new privacy group update is available to some users, and if you don’t get this update then wait for a little time to get this.

WhatsApp says; “WhatsApp groups continue to connect family, friends, classmates, coworkers and more. As more people use WhatsApp group so we launch this new update now you are able to invite system to help you decide who can add you to groups.”

How to enable group privacy update in WhatsApp

  • Open WhatsApp and go to ‘settings’ from the top right corner.
  • Tap ‘Account’ and then tap ‘privacy’
  • After this tap ‘groups’
  • You will get here three options with the first option ‘Everyone’, anyone can add you to groups, With second option only people in your contacts can add you to WhatsApp groups, and with the last option, you can add restriction and specify people who can add you in groups.

If you restrict someone from your contact, then this restricted person can send you an invite through a personal message. It will be solely on you whether you are interested to join or not.
