Honor has released the MR2 update for the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro in India, bringing new AI features to both smartphones. The update was rolled out last month with the call recording feature, and now it’s back with two new AI-powered features.
The first is AI Eraser, powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI, which allows users to easily remove unwanted objects, text, and background elements from photos. The second is Face-to-Face Translation, which provides real-time translation in multiple languages, ideal for travelers and language learners.
The MR2 update also bumps up the Android security patch level on the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro to September 2024. Additionally, the update includes several other features and improvements, including:
* USB Data Security, which enhances security by requiring user authentication when switching USB modes from “Charge only” to data transfer modes
* Split-Screen App Combinations, which allows users to save app combinations in split-screen mode as home screen icons for quick access
According to Honor, the update will reach all users by September 13. If it doesn’t, users can check for it manually by heading to their phones’ Settings > System & updates > Software update menu and clicking on “Check for Updates.”
