iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max Unveiled as Apple’s New Powerhouses



Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature the A18 Pro chip, improved battery life, and new cameras. The phones have a titanium design, thinnest bezels ever, and will be available in four colors. Pre-orders start September 13, with prices starting at $999. Apple Intelligence will be available as a free software update, with features including writing tools and Siri improvements.



Apple’s latest iPhones are now available for pre-order and will soon be on sale. The new iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max boast the A18 Pro chip, a new Camera Control, and “huge leap in battery life” according to Apple.

Design-wise, the new devices feature the same titanium body as before, with thinnest bezels ever on an Apple product. The new models come in four color options: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. The prices are $999 and up for the Pro, and $1,199 and up for the Pro Max, with pre-orders starting September 13 and availability from September 20.

Intelligence, the highly-anticipated AI feature, is not included from the get-go, but will be available as a free software update later this year, starting with the US English version. This will introduce features like Writing Tools, audio transcription, and notification summaries. A second update later in the year will bring even more features, including image generation and contextual Siri abilities.

Hardware highlights include the iPhone 16 Pro’s 6.3-inch screen, with the Pro Max sporting an even larger 6.9-inch screen. Both devices boast a Ceramic Shield with advanced formulation for better durability, improved heat dissipation and efficiency for a 20% better performance, and a 6-core GPU and 3nm processor for increased efficiency.

Camera-wise, the new phones feature a 48MP main camera, 5x telephoto lens, and advanced stabilization. They can record 4K videos in Dolby Vision and support 48MP ProRAW images with zero shutter lag.

Other features include four “studio-quality” mics, support for satellite connections, and advanced AR capabilities. With these new features, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max set a new standard for iPhone performance and functionality.
