Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 update has started rolling out to a wider range of devices. Last week, the update was first released to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5 in Korea. Today, the rollout has expanded significantly.
Reports are coming in from multiple regions, including the US, UK, continental Europe, and India, where the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are receiving the update.

The update brings several new features, including Galaxy AI-powered features. Sketch to image allows users to turn simple drawings into “captivating works of art”, while the portrait feature generates a new look for users’ portraits. Additionally, AI can now assist with writing tasks, and users can quickly access the quick panel with a single tap.
The update is approximately 3GB in size, so users are advised to download it on a fast enough network. Interestingly, the update still advertises itself as One UI 6.1, despite bringing features that debuted in One UI 6.1.1 on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 last month.
After applying the update, users will be running on the August security patch, indicating that the S24 phones are due to receive another update this month, taking them to the September security patch. This also confirms the delayed release of the update, which was initially supposed to go out last month.
