Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold Deals, iPad (2022) Price Drops

Google has released four new Pixel phones, including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, a relatively small flagship with high-end camera hardware, and the vanilla Pixel 9, which costs $200 less. The Pro XL is similar to the Pro but with a larger screen and battery.

The Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL launched in late August, with the small Pro and Google’s second-generation foldable following in early September.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced similarly to last year’s model, and is not a cheap device. However, few of the horizontal foldables on the market are, and none are available in the US.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is another alternative, although it’s almost a year old. The Google Pixel 9 Pro offers a relatively small flagship size with high-end camera hardware, including a 48MP 113mm periscope and 48MP ultra-wide camera, as well as a 42MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

The vanilla Google Pixel 9 is very similar, with the same size, Tensor G4 chipset, and main and ultra-wide cameras, although it lacks a tele lens and has a lower-res selfie camera. The main difference is the display, which is not an LTPO panel like the Pro, but it’s $200 cheaper.

The large Pixel 9 Pro XL is essentially identical to the 9 Pro, except for the screen size (6.8″ vs 6.3″) and battery (5,060mAh vs 4,700mAh).

Apple recently dropped the price of the 2022 iPad to $300 for the 64GB model, although the 256GB version is more expensive. The 2021 iPad, which uses Lightning instead of USB-C, is available for $200 for a 64GB slate.
