The upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a significant upgrade from the Ace 3’s 8 Gen 2. Interestingly, the Ace 4 never existed due to tetraphobia.
Digital Chat Station has confirmed the 8 Gen 3 choice for the vanilla model, and revealed that the Ace 5 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Both models will boast batteries of at least 6,000 mAh, flat metal frames, optical fingerprint sensors, and a “1.5K” 8T LTPO high-spec OLED screen made by BOE.

The devices will be equipped with a 50 MP main rear camera, as well as two additional cameras. However, it appears that periscope telephoto cameras will remain exclusive to the flagship numbered series for now.
While the Ace 5 Pro is likely to remain confined to the Chinese market, the Ace 5 may be rebranded internationally as the OnePlus 13R and launch alongside the OnePlus 13, following the same pattern as the Ace 3, which was sold outside of China as the 12R.
