Kia Sonet X-Line launched with refreshed interior and powertrain in India


Kia Motors has launched the X-Line variant of its popular compact SUV Kia Sonet in India with new powertrains and a distinctive paint job. The company brings the new Kia Sonet X-Line following the success of the Seltos X-Line. 

Kia Sonet X-Line Price and Availability

Kia Sonet X-Line arrives with top-end automatic trims starting at Rs 13.39 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 13.99 lakh for the diesel model. The company is already accepting pre-orders of the Kia Sonet X-Line online and at dealerships. 

Kia Sonet X-Line Features

For new cosmetic upgrades, Kia Sonet X-Line gets a new Matte Graphite paint scheme on the exterior with the same-tone shark fin antenna. It has got a new set of 16-inch crystal cut alloy wheels. The front grilles sport shinier grilles with a new pattern, chrome garnished fog lamps and metallic accent skid plates.

Inside, the Sonet X-Line features a Sage dual-tone finish and art leather sports seats with orange stitching and X-Line branding. The company provides the existing interior features that include a 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio, an electric sunroof, cruise control, wireless charging, central armrests at the front and rear, and an air purifier. It offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smart connectivity.

For the petrol performance, Kia Sonet X-Line is equipped with a 1L turbocharged mill churning out 118bhp and 172Nm output with a 7-speed twin-clutch automatic gearbox. Its diesel twin employs a 1.5L turbocharged motor to deliver 115bhp power and a 250Nm of peak torque. It offers 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Safety features are six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill hold assist, traction control, front and rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders, and speed alerts. As for competition, a strong lineup including 2022 Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300 are worthy opponents to the Kia Sonet X-Line.
