Android has been the juice of more than 80 % of the smartphones in the present day market. It has turned out to be the most successful and interactive operating system that the smartphones have ever had. The formerly latest version of Android, known as Android Kitkat v4.4, has recently got a whole new successor to it, the Android Lollipop v5.0. And the thrilling news is that the latest Android has now got an update too. Yes, I’m talking about Android Lollipop v5.1 being rolled out.
The most eye-catching feature that comes along with this update is the security enhancement enabled by the Device Lock feature. It works in resemblance with iOS Activation Lock which prevents a lost mobile to be activated without the knowledge of the Apple account associated with the device. Other interesting new features for Lollipop include support for multiple SIM cards, a feature users in certain markets will definitely appreciate, and support for high-definition (HD) voice on compatible devices.
Initially the update will be available for Google’s flagship family devices, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be getting the update for the starters and soon after them, other Nexus devices will get the access to the update build as official pictures of update in these devices have been spotted.
