Oppo’s ColorOS 13 has been officially announced. It is an upcoming custom skin for its devices built on top of Android 13. The new OS is all set to start rolling in India and it comes packed with new features to make the experience even more fun. The ColorOS 13 will also be announced globally. ColorOS 13: Launch Date
The next-gen of ColorOS has already been launched today. The custom skin will be based on Android 13 with all the core privacy and safety features built in. The main focus of the ColorOS 13 is interconnecting various devices, visual improvements, and large displays. The brand has already started recruiting Finx X5, and Find X5 Pro users in limited numbers for closed beta testing in countries like Australia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, and more.

Steps to Install ColorOS 13 Beta Update
- Once the brand announces the ColorOS 13 Beta rollout, here are the steps to install the beta update on your Oppo phone-
- Go to Settings of your phone and scroll down to software update.
- Tap on Software update and at the top right corner, you will see a cogwheel symbol. select it.
- Now click on the Trial version and the ColorOS 13 Beta will appear depending on availability.
- Next, it will prompt you to sign in or sign up with an Oppo account. Fill in the details required.
- Wait for a few minutes and you may find the ColorOS 13 beta update in the software update section.
ColorOS 13 Features
Material You Theming
ColorOS 13 is expected to bring Material You theming to Oppo phones which will allow users to not only pick accent colors from a wallpaper but also apply those colors to the icons on the home screen and app drawer.
New Design
ColorOS 13 has an Aquamorphoc design that comes with rounded corners within its widgets. Icons look better. Animations are also slightly different with a watery effect, and now color palettes from Android come into Oppo’s in-house OS.
Quick Settings Overhaul
The quick settings panel is also getting a brand new design. Changes include the music player getting its own dedicated space with two new large toggles beside it such as WiFi and Bluetooth settings as the default ones. Oppo has also toned up the blur effect.
Better compatibility with large display
With ColorOS 13, Oppo may bring advanced and dedicated features to increase productivity while using tablets or foldable.
Security and Privacy
Since ColorOS 13 is built on top of Android 13, the skin will use all the security and privacy features the platform brings such as picking a photo to share from the gallery without accessing other media, more strict location permissions, and detecting sensitive information to prevent 3rd party apps from accessing it.
