Apple Watch 8 to monitor blood pressure, blood sugar, and alcohol levels

The Telegraph recently reported on Apple Watch 8’s upcoming hardware upgrade which will likely include glucose, alcohol, and blood pressure monitoring.

The publication discovered solid evidence in the SEC that Apple has been working with Rockley Photonics as its primary supplier for health-tracking sensors. Additionally, Rockley Photonics’ CEO has spoken of their sensor products in the past, indicating that consumer products will start appearing in 2022.

This, in turn, coincides with the release of the Apple Watch Series 8 so it would not be unlikely to find the 8th generation measurement blood sugar, blood pressure, and alcohol levels. However, it doesn’t mean that these sensors will be part of the watch but it does appear highly probable.
