Lenovo building the world’s first 5G Laptop

5G bought a great revolution in 2019. Many smartphones launch this year which support 5G. But unfortunately no PC is launched with 5G, now Lenovo is building the world’s first 5G Laptop. Lenovo Built their first 5G laptop with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 5G modem.

Lenovo First 5G Laptop

Johnson Jia(senior vice president and general manager of Lenovo) said, “We see 5G as an essential and exciting part of intelligent Transformation. Brining this unprecedented access and speed into our PCs help us to empower our customers and lead the way to a more powerful and connected future.”

Tery Paschal(Lenovo Intelligent Devices Group) said: “5G is the beginning of enabling the always-on era, complete with radical changes for consumers and entire industries.” They use 5G platform to build leading PC. Lenovo built his 5G pc in collaboration with Qualcomm and their Snapdragon 8cx 5G compute platform.

But initially, engineers face some challenges to build 5G pc. On 5G speed, the data transfer rate rapidly increases that generate a high amount of heat. So engineers need to do very intelligent work to overcome challenges. But Lenovo and Qualcomm promised that they would launch this model earlier.

Specifications

This Laptop is running on the mobile chipmaker’s new 7nm Snapdragon 8cx processor, which is a super-fast processor. This 5G system consists of an Adreno 68o GPU, a hexagon 6go DSP, Snapdragon X55  modem, a key 495 CPU, and wifi supported. This 5G laptop will have 13-inch fully HD high-resolution display. And have a slim body and lightweight. This leading laptop has 16GB ram and up to 1TB SSD harddrive. This Snapdragon 8cx CPU will run at 2.8GHz which offer optimize multitasking performance.

You can enjoy fully 4k and 8k streaming without any distraction. Also connected your PC with VR, and enjoy higher quality videos. Lenovo said that this 5G laptop will have a very powerful battery for 4k and 8k streaming.

Pricing

Lenovo has not revealed any pricing and releasing date yet, also Lenovo provided few details about this model. But Lenovo says that”Project Limitless devices arrive in early in 2020.”
